Barrier to a High-Quality Matriculation Certificate

In high schools in the periphery, students in the 11th/12th grades are identified who, according to the school’s assessment, are unlikely to successfully pass the matriculation exams in English 4/5 units or Mathematics 4/5 units. These subjects are considered barriers to obtaining a high-quality matriculation certificate, while the students are expected to succeed in other subjects. Therefore, success in the matriculation exams in these subjects will grant these students a higher-quality matriculation certificate that allows acceptance into university.

The program guides the identified students to success in the barrier subject at the level of 4/5 units and eligibility for a higher-quality matriculation certificate.

The program is implemented according to the principles of the Accelerated Gap Reduction Method by Yecholot and is carried out in preparation for both the summer and winter matriculation exam sessions.

The average learning duration for each subject is 2 semesters. Most of the learning takes place after school hours and includes intensive learning days and learning marathons held outside of school.

The learning team in the program consists of school teachers who, before implementation, participate in specific training for the program led by Yecholot mentors.

Pedagogy, Training, and Guidance: The mentoring team of Yecholot.

The program operates in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, educational departments in municipalities, educational networks, and philanthropy.
